Dharma Path Advanced Studies is Samyama Yoga Center’s 300-hour Teacher Training program accredited by the Yoga Alliance. Lead by Program Director John Berg with support from the most innovative, passionate and compassionate teachers in the Bay Area, Dharma Path Advanced Studies is an immersion in the methodology, philosophy and traditional foundations that support the 21st Western yoga journey. Yoga educators John Berg, Louis Jackson, Ben Thomas, Lorien Neargarder, Hillary Easom and Lindsay Amrein will fuse their deep love for the sacred beginnings of yoga with modern ideas and outlook to nurture your teaching skills, deepen your personal practice and to open your heart and mind. Mimm Patterson will be leading discussions on the business of yoga and preparing students for their practicum presentations.

Successful applicants will be able to attend regularly scheduled classes at Samyama free of charge for the duration of the program.  For the duration of the program, you will receive a 20% discount on yoga mats, yoga bags, yoga props and all clothes not already discounted (our Nirvana Rack). 

 Application Process 

1. Please submit the Dharma Path Advanced Studies application, available here. 

2. Once we receive your application you will be contacted via email and invited to interview with Director John Berg and the program administrator, Mimm Patterson. This interview is an opportunity for us to get to know one another better and an opportunity to tour Samyama (if you are not already a guest at SYC). 

3. DPAS tuition is $4000. Early Bird Tuition of $3800 is available until September 30.  Students can also opt for our payment plan. If you choose the payment plan you will pay a total of $4050 in three installments of $1350 on or before October 8, December 8 and February 8.
